the external rotation movement at the shoulder joint and stretch the anterior shoulder joint capsule.To perform this exercise 

Shoulder external rotation stretch at the doorway

  • Stand at edge of doorway.
  • Begin with arm at side, elbow bent to 90 degrees.
  • Place hand of involved arm on door frame.
  • Slowly turn away from doorway until a gentle stretch is felt.
  • Hold end position for 10-15 seconds
  • Repeat for 5-6 times
